Miska’s Maps has been around for almost six years, and my focus and offering have changed over the years for several reasons. Development of my own cartographic and artistic skills, better tools, and shifts in interest have been some major factors. Still, the most important thing for me has always been what you, my followers and supporters, have wanted to see more.
In January 2021, I started focusing on sci-fi and cyberpunk maps on my main patreon (www.patreon.com/miskasmaps). I also created a new “side-patreon” for Cthulhu Mythos and pulp era content (www.patreon.com/mythosmaps). Lastly, I’ve been making Foundry VTT modules and map assets for around a year now.
Sometimes I’ve had to make tough choices and prioritization based on time, skills, and other available resources. After all, I’m just one person working on the maps and other TTRPG content, apart from occasional collaborations with other creators.
Even though I started working full-time as an RPG cartographer and designer in July, there’s still a lot to do on my backlog. I aim to find synergies with my TTRPG publishing company, Ironspine Press, and expand to other tabletop RPG content.
There have been so many major changes within the past year, and I thought this would be a good milestone for a more thorough survey. This could give me a better understanding of your needs and wishes and allow you to provide feedback.
I’m very grateful if you could spend a few minutes answering a couple of questions I put together for this survey.
