Scout Shuttle

An Aurora-class shuttle is a small spacecraft used as a ship’s boat to transport personnel and cargo between ships or from orbit to the surface of a planet. Sometimes Aurora shuttles are also used for repairs and as lifeboats.

The shuttle has a life-support system for eight people and an advanced sensor array. It can also be equipped with a short-range FTL drive for scouting missions.
