The Northern lands of Wuoja have been at war with the marauding giant lords for centuries and the local kingdoms have agreed to build defense lines to keep these tyrants away. Towers with powerful ballistas have been built into strategic positions to fight these colossal monstrosities and their minions.
This tower is one of the many defense towers. It has been abandoned after the great giant lord Ahmat Blackstone broke into the kingdom of Saarnisalo and has been pillaging there for weeks with an army of goblinoids. The scouts have returned with a message that the army has been sighted moving back to the mountains with tens of captured villagers.
There is a chance to ambush the weakened forces of Lord Ahmat before they vanish into the maze-like caverns under the mountains. If a group of adventurers could secure this defense tower in time, the ballista could be used to slay the pillaging giant lord and save the villagers from slavery and certain death.
