[Map] Shelter 17

Shelter 17 is one of the many small shelters built to function as outposts and emergency caches for small patrols or science teams. Most of these shelters are hidden underground to offer extra protection against environmental hazards and intruders.

These small shelters are not designed for prolonged containment, but they still have a three-month reserve of consumables for six persons. Consumables are stored in compartments under the floor.  Water is pumped from an underground reservoir and the air is purified through multiple military-grade filters. Energy is produced with geothermal turbines and stored in battery banks for emergencies.

Most shelters still have a functional radio with a telescopic mast.
