The old dwarven halls have been abandoned for tens of years. The stories about the horrible plague that wiped out the original dwellers of the vaults have kept the curious away from the vaults. The few who have wandered into the empty halls have not returned from their journeys.
The old dwarven halls are now inhabited by the secretive and vile Rat Cult that capture lone and careless travelers. The cultists cannibalize their captives and use them for their terrifying rituals where they wish to be gifted by the Great Mother and turned into wererats.
