Mission Briefing
One of our Efreet-class shuttles was intercepted by local insurgents and we have located the shuttle’s crash site.
We expect the insurgent to be scavenging the ship wreck for parts and taking all survived crew members as hostages.
The shuttle has an armored pod for VIP persons and we have picked up its signal close to the crash site.
It will be nighttime when you arrive to the crash site. Use the darkness to your advantage, but beware of surprises. We are not sure how many hostiles there are. Our surveillance has picked up some signs of personal thermoptic stealth equipment being used.
Your mission is to extract the VIP alive and any other crew members who have survived the crash. We have picked up a signature of a larger unidentified craft closing in on the crash site. You need to clear out to the designated extraction point before the larger craft arrives.
The Black Phoenix
Black Phoenix is a state-of-the-art Efreet-class stealth shuttlecraft with specialized low-emission oberman-engines and advanced electronic counter-measures system. It is used mainly for low-profile personnel and material transportation, but also for long-range reconnaissance.
Most Efreet-class ships are armed with a HROF point-defense cannon and a drone dispenser system, but Black Phoenix is outfitted with a light turret mounted gauss cannon, chaff launcher, armored evac pod and cryostasis pod bay instead.
- Crew: pilot, co-pilot, engineer, medical specialist, weapons officer
